Since I changed my topic of my paper, everything has been going a lot smoother.
Introduction- This is where I talk about new years resolutions and weight loss to introduce the topic. Then I go into the problem of obesity
Body- I talk about how we could help end obesity in America. I have 4-5 main points to make about changes that the government could make to help the situation.
1. Portion sizes at restaurants
2. Nutritional info on menus
3. Banning high-fat/high-sugar ads during the high watched tv times
4. improving the content in fast food
5. (maybe something else)
Conclusion- Wrapping up how these changes could help solve Americas obesity problem
It's a lifestyle.

My proposal. Blog #7
For my argument of fact, I wrote about something different but for my proposal I decided to write about obesity and the ways we could help solve it.
My first idea to help with this epidemic is to make the healthy food at Fast Food chains like salad, yogurt, etc, cheaper. The pros are that people will not worry about it being too expensive and will not be able to use that as an excuse to why they "got the 99 cent burger because it was cheaper". But the con would simply be the establishments would maybe not make as much money. The only people I think would oppose to this is the business owners.
The second proposal is to ban the high-fat/high-sugar advertisements to kids like Australia is trying to do. This would obviously be a pro because children and adults would see less of those ads and get less cravings like we do. It would help with those late night fast food runs because "I really wanted a frosty". A con, again, would be that because the food is advertised less, it could effect the business. People may oppose just because the ads make different businesses money and taking that away could effect their profit margin.
The third idea, which is a very helpful one, is to pass a law that requires food places to display the nutritional facts on the menu. This way, everyone is aware of what they are eating and how much calories they are taking in. That is a pro because I truly think that people just do not realize how bad things are for them sometimes, so now they can be knowledgeable. The con is that the business may not sale as much of the item because people see that a lot of the food has a ridiculous amount of fat in it. So the individual food places, like Taco Bell, may not want that.

Arguement of fact. Blog #5
During this research paper, we are required to write an "argument of fact". And while I am writing mine, I am going to be clearing up some misconceptions about agriculture. Specifically, I am clearing up the misconception that agriculture related degrees are "worthless" and unable to provide jobs after graduation.
The new information I am providing is going to be different statistics about jobs and what the industry is truly like after leaving college.
I will be bringing the unknown issue of bad marketing to the table and talking about how this article (Degrees that are useless) affected the agriculture industry. This is important for people to understand so that it does not happen again, and so that people have a knowledge of why agriculture is so important in general.
I just want people to get it. I love agriculture and it is where my passion lies, but I do understand that it is not for everyone to particularly fall in love with. Therefore, my main goal and concept of this paper is to simply educate my peers and the public about how the industry I am going to have a career in, will be affecting them completely. Many do not understand or see that and it has a negative impact on the field.
Now, I realize that simply just stating this will not do much for the common person so I will be using facts, statistics, statements from professors, etc to explain this thoroughly.
I have some from my original three sources, but now I am in the process of searching extensively to find what I need to do the best I can. I am determined!

My learning process. Blog #4
Now that I have summarized three scholarly sources, I am making my way through this process. We are on our way! I have learned a lot about my topic and about the reactions of the world to this article. This stirred up a crazy amount of debate, discussion and arguement from the agriculture world. I learned more on the statistics of agricutural jobs and that there are actually too many jobs in the field but not enough qualified people to fill the slots which came at a huge to surprise to me. Mostly everything I learned was swayed to prove Yahoo!'s theory wrong. I feel like I need to do more research on the specific statistics to turn this paper to be acedemic. I am going to continue my search in the data bases through the school and see what I can find. Also, I will look on state and national agriculture websites and the job data base for the United States.

My movement towards Agvocation
Well, writing this research paper has been a lot harder than I expected. It is not that I have lacked passion or an understanding of a topic, but quite the opposite actually. I have so much passion for the whole topic of agriculture, it has been overwhelming in trying to narrow down a specific topic for use.
So then I remembered talking to one of my Ag. teachers a couple years ago about an article that Yahoo! had posted saying Agriculture was in the top ten most useless degrees. As a college student majoring in an agriculture study, this moves me to show the world that it is not the case.
When searching for papers to use, useful keywords were "agriculture", "post-secondary studies", "importance", etc. I found that using specific sentences when trying to find information was not an advantage for me. There are a lot of sources about agriculture, but not very much for what I am trying to find specificially. It is taking a lot of time for me to find what I need but it is worth the struggle.
Most of the sources I have seen came from agriculturists that were heated and felt the need to argue against this so that we do not get a bad or useless name.
So this is my movement to inspire and to teach about the importance of agriculture education in college. A.K.A- Agvocation. I am advocating agriculture and hoping to shine some light on the subject.

Getting started.
Hello, hi, hola, hey y'all! My name is Cheyenne Hammons and I think it is best if I tell you about myself some.
Ever since I was little, I have been a very passionate person. I enjoy finding new hobbies and I enjoy adding people and things in my life to give my heart to.
I consider myself to be an expert in the agricultural field. I enjoy learning about the latest debates and movements and dedicating myself to pushing them through. I specifically like to learn about the equine industry and the "agvocate" movement. These are the things that motivate me and push me to have a career in agriculture.
I have a lot of things I like to do such as riding horses (obviously), working out, being adventurous, traveling, reading, watching movies, etc. I like to take time out of every day to make sure I breathe and appreciate the things around me. I get so caught up in schoolwork and the craziness so I have to enjoy the little things.
School was never my favorite thing but my favorite subjects are science and ag. I liked athletics, too1
I add on to my bucket list of things to learn and do, everyday. I want to know about a little bit of everything before I do. I am passionate about gaining knowledge, because I think that is important for all of us. If we are not learning and expanding our brains, then we are not truly living I do not think. Well, thank you for reading. More to come later :)
